1940s Bakelite Factory Clock By Smiths Sectric

1940s British made Bakelite industrial factory clock by Smiths Sectric. 

Made in Cricklewood North London these clocks were used in military & government buildings, factories & railway stations all over the UK.

Founded in 1851, Smiths were Europes largest clock manufacturer.  From their plant in Cricklewood, North London, they produced clocks for the home, government & factory's, Royal Air Force & the motor industry.

Clocks are all restored to use a high torque German battery movement , we always use the original clock hands. 

Bakelite frame with steel clock face, amazing signs of ageing on the steel clock face. This clock has had some repairs to its Bakelite frame ( please see pictures ).
