Cari Zalloni started his career in fashion, working as art director for several brands, before specializing in eyewear design in the 1960s. He founded his own company, Cazal Eyewear, in 1975, with the aim of creating innovative, bold eyewear that expressed a certain attitude and style.
Cari Zalloni's designs were often characterized by unique geometric shapes, bright colors and high-quality materials, such as gold and acetate. His eyewear quickly became objects of desire for celebrities and fashion enthusiasts the world over.
After Cari Zalloni's death, his Cazal Eyewear brand was taken over by the Tribeca Eyewear group, but his legacy of innovative, forward-thinking design continues to inspire many eyewear designers today.
