A very rare early model 1209 Anglepoise wall light manufactured by Herbert Terry & Sons, Redditch, England. This 1940s example with its original wall bracket had arms manufactured from brass which did not continue in the production of these lamps for very long.
Designed & developed by George Carwardine originally as the ‘ Equipoise ’, earlier versions of this light were sold under his own company name ‘ Cardine Accessories Ltd, Bath ’ for 2 years from 1928 up until 1930. Carwadine joined with Herbert Terry & Sons, which was the beginning of the iconic Anglepoise lamp.
In amazing working condition, this lamp was originally fixed to walls in factory's & workshops to be moved as needed to illuminate work areas.
Expertly restored & completely cleaned, rewired & PAT safety tested ready to go. Still in original amazing condition with original ' Crabtree ' Bakelite bulb holder.
We have wired this light with an external cable & plug, if desired this wall light can be fitted intravenously so that the cable is hidden in the wall.
This lamp uses a B22 bayonet fitting bulb. This lamp is supplied with a B22 bayonet LED light bulb.
