Otto Gerharz, who in 1951 as operations manager at Ruscha Keramik invented what we refer to today as " Fat Lava Glaze ". He set up his own ceramic house " Otto Keramik " in 1964.
Sadly he passed away a few years ago, but his son Otto Junior continues his legacy still producing original designs by his father. Still using the original molds & original glazes.
This is the classic bull in the large size, which has especially been made as a money box. It has cuts on the top both for notes & coins & has a key lockable cap at the bottom.

Every single Otto Keramik piece is hand finished & coloured, no 2 pieces are ever the same. The ceramic pieces which are fat lava glazed have a natural bubble that can sometimes pop this is a natural occurrence with the fat lava glaze.
