Canvas backed circa 1950s Philips wall atlas of Africa. Produced by renowned British mapmakers George Philip & Son Ltd for the London Geographical Institute. This map depicts the climate between November 1st to April 30th, northern winter : southern summer.
George Philip & Son Ltd is a historic British map & atlas publishing house founded in 1834. Specializing in educational & management mapping, the firm is known for the Philip International Atlas.
Map is canvas backed & in amazing condition for its age. Hardly any nips or tears, some ageing to the paper. Please look closely at the pictures.
